Inspirational Retirement Quotes

Gizmos Resources is going to begin this article with some quotes, you might want to copy these and send them in an email to that special person. Another idea would be to use one of these in your free card, here we go with what I have found for you.

Retirement . . . is when you stop living at work and begin working at living.

“If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.”

“When a man retires, his wife gets twice the husband but only half the income.”

“Don’t simply retire from something; have something to retire to.”

Retirement is a new beginning, and that means closing the book on one chapter in order to begin the next.

“People can’t do anything about growing old because it’s one of the most natural things in the world, but one thing you can control, though, is how you’ll live your life once you’re old enough to retire.”

To some of us, retirement gives us time to follow our dreams.

“RETIREMENT – now life begins.”

“Retirement may be an ending, a closing, but it is also a new beginning.”

Retirement is an amazing opportunity to find new adventures, to climb new mountain, and to enjoy a life you once only dreamed of!

Stay young at heart, kind in spirit, and enjoy retirement living.”

“As you embark on the exciting journey into retirement, you will experience a transition that will be both thrilling and terrifying.”

“Retire from work, but not from life.”

Maybe some of these will be perfect to send to that special someone, you could email them these as a surprise. Add them to cards, and even use them on some creative retirement gift you are making with your own hands. Brighten someone’s day that is starting a new life, nothing gives us more happiness than making another person smile.

Preparing For Retirement

Way too many people are not prepared for when they stop working, so you need to educate yourself before that day arrives. I have put together a short guide to help you get ready, so by checking this you can get some ideas of what you need to be thinking about.

  • Pay off all of your debts possible such as credit cards and loans
  • Working towards being debt-free before you retire is going to make your life much less stressful.
  • Compare your living expenses to what you will be receiving once you are no longer working.
  • Creating a backup bank account of funds ahead of time is a must-do strategy, experts suggest going for three months of your living expenses is the minimum amount you should focus on.
  • Home mortgages should be paid off by the time you retire.
  • Many people are starting part-time online Businesses as a hobby and extra money, so starting this project at least five years before quitting working is recommended.
  • Research your Medicare health coverage now to fully be aware of how this works and what you will need to pay out of your own pocket, many people don’t realize how co-payments add up when your health begins to cause you regular physician visits and specialists.
  • Will you need a supplement insurance plan, start checking them out now for the best ones to consider.
  • For anyone interested here is a Free Retirement Calculator to use, I included this for your convenience and to help you.

This guide will get you thinking on the right track to being prepared, many of us lack the knowledge of what to expect until it is way too late. More seniors are working fast food and grocery stores to pay for their prescriptions and extra health expenses, but what happens to those whose health prevents them from being able to do this?

Retirement Business Guide

What you want to do is start your business no later than the age of sixty, but sooner is always better than later. For some inspiration, I have some better choices for seniors. These come from experts, so you can have faith they come from reliable sources.

  • Tutoring or Teaching is the number one suggestion for seniors, you are an expert in your industry after putting in all those years. Why not use your experience to earn extra money teaching others, people are hungry for learning new skills and you just might have what they want and need to learn.
  • Writing articles on your expertise from your career is a very low-cost startup business, even though this is not for everyone, anyone can earn extra income writing online.
  • Start your own blog is really booming with seniors right now, many are getting started in their fifties to have a successful blog by the time they retire.
  • Many pet owners will pay you to babysit their precious fur babies, another option is to become a pet walker if you do this every day anyway.
  • Consulting has really been booming, since you are not depending on this to earn a living you can charge much more budget-friendly fees than the big companies.

All of these are low-cost to get started, so now is the time before it is your time to retire. While you are working you are financially able to build your business, you don’t want to wait until you are on a fixed income and then try to start earning money online.

Senior Social Media Guide

Before we say goodbye today, I have a few tips in this guide that really are important for you. Seniors are the most targeted age group on the internet, and this has become more serious than ever on social media platforms. Now social media are really awesome resources for you, but you need to be careful of people you don’t know.

  • Be sure to your privacy settings are set to protect your private information
  • Select who can and can’t get on your social media profile page
  • Carefully accept who you befriend
  • Think before you accept invitations
  • Avoid providing any personal information on your profile page such as phone numbers as just one example
  • Experts recommend seniors use private messaging instead of talking on public pages
  • Scams are the most important thing to watch out for, scammers target you more than any age group now more than ever.

Social Media is a great resource for people of all ages, I don’t use Facebook any longer that is why you never see any links to my Facebook page. I just really got turned off by porn girls and scammers asking me for money, and when you are in business you really can’t avoid accepting messages from other people and companies. Facebook is great for keeping in touch with family and what is happening, but the rotten apples have ruined that site in my opinion.
